Flames rise, 
dreams go red, 
spinning crazy 
inside our heads.
Why? 
We can not just ash into the sky, 
another day estranged
from hopes slicing in half 
from the cascade of lies..
Is today a good day 
to ignite a new fire?
Is today the day 
eyes open wide
to the crimes 
wrapped in scarlet gauze?
If you know, 
just because
    Careful,
    what you ask to burn;
    the kindle you offer
    delivers nothing in return.
